Questions people ask
How early should I send party invitations?
Common guidance is 2 to 3 weeks before for a child's party, 3 to 4 weeks for an adult party and 4 to 6 weeks for a holiday party, when calendars fill up fast. These are customs, not rules, so go earlier if many guests travel.
When should the RSVP deadline be?
For parties, about a week before is usual. For weddings, 3 to 4 weeks before is common, which leaves time to chase late replies and finish seating. If a caterer or venue needs numbers, the deadline has to come before that.
When do wedding save-the-dates and invitations go out?
Save-the-dates usually go out 6 to 8 months before the wedding, and invitations 6 to 8 weeks before.
How do the calendar reminders work?
Each milestone can go into Google Calendar, Outlook.com, Office 365 or any app that opens an .ics file, as an all-day reminder on the date to aim for. You can also download every milestone in one .ics file.
